Adverse Drug Reactions of Suspected Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome in a Chil
Objective: To analyze the adverse drug reactions of neuroleptic malignant syndrome induced by haloperidol in one child with transient tic disorder
so as to provide reference for rational drug use. Methods: The correlation between neuroleptic malignant syndrome and haloperidol was determined
and the causes and susceptibility factors were analyzed. Results: Haloperidol was probably the drug that induced neuroleptic malignant syndrome in the child
and the condition was under control after medication modification. Conclusion: During the use of haloperidol
symptoms and signs should be closely monitored
and the dosage should be adjusted properly to avoid severe adverse drug reactions.
